Our story

Ashley is a 22- year-old woman whose world has been turned upside down by a debilitating illness: ulcerative colitis. For the past several years, Ashley has battled this chronic autoimmune disease, which causes painful inflammation and ulcers in her colon. What started as occasional discomfort has evolved into a daily fight for basic well-being. Ulcerative colitis is relentless. Ashley has endured flare-ups that leave her bedridden for days, constant fatigue, severe abdominal pain, and hospital stays that keep her away from the life she loves. Simple things—working a full day, going out with friends, or even eating her favorite meals—have become enormous challenges. As Ashley is now on the road to remission , Ashley and her mum Christine will be walking a marathon throughout June 2025 to support the cause.
